GLYPH: The Integration Runtime for Construction

briq Engineering · Integration Platform · Jan 2026

Technical overview of GLYPH's integration architecture — pre-built connectors, transformation engine, and real-time data synchronization.

GLYPH is briq's integration runtime — the infrastructure layer that connects construction software systems and enables data flow between them. This deep-dive explains how it works and why it's different from generic iPaaS solutions.

The core architecture: GLYPH operates as a real-time event bus with a construction-specific data model. When data changes in one system (a new invoice in your ERP, a status update in your PM tool, a timecard submission from the field), GLYPH captures the event, transforms the data, and routes it to every connected system that needs it.

Pre-built connectors: GLYPH includes production-ready connectors for 40+ construction software platforms — including Viewpoint Vista, Sage 300 CRE, CMiC, Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Textura, and many more. These aren't just API wrappers — they understand the data models and business logic of each platform.

The transformation engine: Construction data is messy. Cost code structures differ between systems. Field naming conventions vary. Date formats, currency handling, and unit conversions all need to be managed. GLYPH's transformation engine handles this automatically, using mapping rules that are configured once and applied continuously.

Error handling and monitoring: Integration failures in construction can be costly — a missed invoice, a payroll error, a project setup that doesn't propagate. GLYPH includes comprehensive error handling with automatic retries, fallback logic, and alerting. Every data movement is logged and auditable.
